Hi! I'm Kimerie

I’d like to walk with you through a journey of exploring and experiencing new found peace and joy, replenish your faith, reignite your passion and strengthen your capacity to serve.

My story

Our roles in life can make an instant shift sometimes taking you in directions you never imagined.

In addition to being a “helping professional” for most of my adult life, I’ve had two career shifts that immediately thrusted me into the role of being a family caregiver.

On two separate occasions years apart, I found myself laid off from my regular 9-5 job. Looking back, I now refer to them both as my designated “assignments” from God.

In 2015, I was laid off from a job I absolutely loved. Initially devastated, I quickly learned it was necessary, as it would quickly shift me into my first assignment as a family caregiver. Within months, my grandmother suffered a major stroke after heart surgery and she later suffered subsequent mini strokes. Her condition required me to become her primary caregiver. I was blessed and honored to do so until she passed away in June of 2018.

To care for those who once cared for us is one of the highest honors.

December 2019, also brought about a time of transition. Once again I was laid off from another job. Only God would’ve known we were on the cusp of a “global pandemic”.

Being laid off perfectly positioned me to be available to provide homeschooling and experience the most precious moments in the life of my grandson.

And finally, years of working in ministry leadership, I recognized the truth in the existence of the 80/20 rule. 20% of the congregation does 80% of the work. Scripture in Luke 10:2 tells us “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few”. And this is truly lived out as a daily reality within many church congregations.

Burnout is very prevalent but rarely talked about.

So as you can see wearing multiple hats has given me a strong sense of the identity and needs of family caregivers, helping professionals and ministry leaders. It has stirred such a passion and desire to help meet those needs by offering the support and refreshment desperately needed to adequately continue giving care and ministering in a healthy and holistic way.
